2007 Pinot Grigio
The only white on the list, this Italian varietal is a lovely dry citrus elixir. Crisp pears coated with a find delicate pollen of almond blossoms, served chilled, you can't go wrong with this one in Spring and Summer!
2006 Sangiovese
Like a fruit tar applied to the tongue with a firm underbed of generous exuberant structure, this garnet hued wine is almost port-like in taste and aroma.
2006 Barbera
This Barbera laden's the air with exotic spiced pungency not unlike any airy kitchen. Nuances from pepper, anise, plum, Concord grape, red currants and to some peppermint! Yum!
2006 Cabernet Sauvignon
Combining French and American oak, winemaker Berton Bertagna has debuted his first Cab! Nice and dry like a Cab should be, but not overwhelmingly so. True to the grape variety this is a beautiful example of how a Chico boy can compete against any other California Cab.
2006 Petite Sirah
The winemaker's wife's favorite! This Petite Sirah has a size and power that is noteworthy, considerable density and a vibrant essence. Garnet hues with a dense confluence of pepper, dried leaf spices, vanilla coffee and ripe plums.
2006 Red Blend
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Barbera and 25% Sangiovese. The beautiful marriage of traditional Italian varietals combined with the strong backbone of the Cab make for a perfect blend. The aromatics reveal a smoky brown sugar with a montage of dried fruit pungency.
